CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Our care instructions are specifically designed to maximize the lifespan of your board and preserve its beauty. Please read these instructions carefully.

1. Manual cleaning:

After each use, your cutting board just needs a little TLC. Use warm water, a mild dish soap, and a soft cloth or brush. Important: Avoid harsh cleaning agents and hard sponges, as these could damage the wood surface.

2. No soaking:

Your cutting board likes water, but not too much! Never let it soak or immerse it in water. The wood can swell and, in the worst case, crack – we don't want to risk that.

3. Keep your hands off the dishwasher:

Wood and dishwashers – not a good combination! The heat and humidity in the dishwasher could warp the wood and significantly shorten the lifespan of your cutting board. Stick to gentle hand washing instead.

4. Dry thoroughly:

After washing, your cutting board needs to be thoroughly dried. Use a clean cloth to wipe it down thoroughly, then stand it upright to air dry completely. Important: Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources—both of which can warp the wood.

5. Regular oiling:

To keep your board in top shape, treat it to a regular oil treatment! Use a food-safe oil such as linseed oil or a special wood care oil. Apply the oil evenly with a clean cloth and let it absorb for a few hours or overnight. Then simply remove any excess oil with a dry cloth.

6. Be careful with rusty metals:

Don't place rusty metal objects on your cutting board, especially oak. The wood will react with the metal and create unsightly, dark stains that are difficult to remove.
